Emma Raducanu Withdraws from US Open Due to Injury

Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the US Open after suffering a stress fracture in her leg. This injury also caused her to miss Wimbledon earlier this year. The 23-year-old British tennis player is currently recovering from the injury.

Raducanu has faced health challenges throughout 2023, including a foot injury from last year that impacted her training and competition plans. She was spotted in training videos wearing a protective boot on her right leg while preparing for the tournament.

Earlier this year, Raducanu was sidelined for two months starting in February due to the same stress fracture, which forced her out of Wimbledon. According to reports, doctors have advised her to rest longer to fully recover from her injury, leading to her absence from the US Open.

This marks another setback for Raducanu, who has struggled with injuries since winning the US Open in 2021. Her inability to stay injury-free has been a recurring issue over the past year.
