Max Verstappen Signs New Contract with Red Bull Racing Until 2030

Max Verstappen has signed a new contract with Red Bull Racing, keeping him with the team until 2030. This news comes just before his home race, the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort.

Red Bull announced the extension on X (formerly Twitter), saying they are “delighted” to confirm Verstappen’s commitment. The team described the contract as a sign of mutual trust and ambition, aiming to shape the future together.

Despite being one of Formula One’s most successful drivers—winning four consecutive championships from 2021—Verstappen has struggled this season. He is currently sixth in the standings with 109 points, while Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli leads with 219 points.

Verstappen expressed his excitement to work toward getting Red Bull back to winning ways. “We have the best people and I’m excited to keep working together to get back to the top,” he said.

The Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, Verstappen’s home race, is set to be the last ever held there due in part to uncertainty over Verstappen’s future. He has dominated at this track since its return in 2021 but recently lost to McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in the last two races.

Verstappen plans to wear a special helmet inspired by iconic blue Delft pottery for the event. He also shared his deep connection with Red Bull, calling the team “a second family” and expressing gratitude for their achievements together.

“I came to the team hoping to win races,” he said, using his well-known phrase. “What we’ve achieved has been incredible.”
