Rory McIlroy Admits He Won’t Play Most PGA Tour Events

Family time and rest have also become more important to McIlroy. Instead of spending almost every week on the golf course, he wants to have more time away from competition and focus on recovering physically and mentally.

For McIlroy, major championships remain the biggest priority. The FedEx Cup Playoffs also remain important because of their role in the PGA Tour season. However, regular Tour events are now lower on his list of priorities.
