Revanth Reddy Threatens Hunger Strike Over Road Dues

MLA Revanth Reddy has threatened to launch a hunger strike to demand the release of Rs 40 crore in pending funds for road development work in his constituency. He claims that the amount has been delayed for a long time and has urged the government to take immediate steps to clear the outstanding payments.

The MLA has also warned that he will organise a large protest involving around 30,000 people if the issue is not resolved. Through this protest, he aims to put pressure on the government to release the funds and ensure that road development projects in his constituency can move forward.

Reddy accused the government of releasing funds for road projects in constituencies represented by ministers while delaying payments for projects in other areas. He questioned why some constituencies were receiving financial support more quickly than others and described the situation as unfair.

According to the MLA, delays in releasing the required funds could affect road construction and development activities in his constituency. He has called for equal treatment of all constituencies and demanded that the government address the issue without further delay.

The proposed hunger strike and mass protest could bring additional attention to the pending road funds issue. However, the next steps will depend on the government’s response and whether the outstanding amount is released.

The MLA’s demand has highlighted concerns about the distribution of public funds for infrastructure development. The issue has also raised questions about the need for timely payments and fair allocation of resources to ensure that road projects can be completed across all constituencies.
