Dubai Future District Fund and Buimerc Partner to Strengthen Innovation Ties

Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF) and Buimerc Corporation have signed a strategic partnership to enhance Dubai’s venture capital ecosystem and strengthen innovation ties between India and the UAE. The agreement was finalized at the Consulate General of India in Dubai, with India’s Ambassador to the UAE, Dr Deepak Mittal, and Consul General Dr E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy in attendance.

DFDF is Dubai’s leading venture capital fund-of-funds, focusing on technology sectors that align with the emirate’s economic goals. Buimerc, a Dubai-based investment company with Indian roots, brings expertise from both India and the UAE markets. The collaboration aims to support tech startups, share market insights, and help founders and investors establish a presence in Dubai.

The partnership also includes joint initiatives such as entrepreneur programs, business delegations, and events. This effort is crucial for strengthening India-UAE economic ties, particularly in technology and innovation. It seeks to connect Indian entrepreneurs and investors with Dubai’s growing venture capital ecosystem.

For Indian startups, this collaboration could open doors to funding networks and international markets through Dubai. For the UAE, it presents an opportunity to attract capital, talent, and expertise from India, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation. The initiative supports Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the emirate’s economy by 2033 and establish it among the world’s leading cities.

India’s Ambassador Dr Deepak Mittal highlighted the collaboration’s potential to strengthen bilateral relations through greater cooperation in venture capital and innovation. Consul General Dr E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy emphasized how the partnership would help Indian startups access Dubai’s venture capital ecosystem and foster cross-border collaboration.

Khalfan Belhoul, Chairman of DFDF and CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, noted that the partnership would build a robust venture capital ecosystem in Dubai for future generations. Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Authority, said the initiative would offer new opportunities for Indian founders and investors to expand internationally from Dubai.

Nader Albastaki, Managing Director of DFDF, stressed the importance of long-term partnerships in attracting ambitious companies to make Dubai their home. Siddharth Balachandran, CEO of Buimerc, highlighted how the collaboration would support Dubai’s innovation ambitions while strengthening economic and strategic ties between India and the UAE.
