Janam Tamil TV’s Digital Broadcasting Goes Live
• Mr. K. Annamalai, President, BJP Tamil Nadu, other leading political leaders and media personalities take part in the inaugural event
• Janam Tamil TV dedicates itself to unbiased reporting on national, religious, and Tamil affairs
• The event also witnesses the launch of a new logo, website, and official social media channels on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram
Chennai, July 15, 2023
Janam TV, a leading Malayalam news channel, has entered the Tamil news broadcasting space, with the launch of Janam Tamil Digital TV, an exclusive digital platform catering to Tamil audiences. Janam Tamil TV will be run by Marudham Multimedia Limited.
Mr. K. Annamalai, President, of BJP Tamil Nadu, inaugurated Janam Tamil TV’s website, while Mr. Kadeswara C. Subramaniam, State President, of Hindu Munnani, launched Janam Tamil TV’s official YouTube channel. Mr. P.C. Duraisamy and Mrs. Santhi Duraisamy, the promoters of Sakthi Masala Group, launched the news channel’s Facebook page, and Prof G. Gnanasambandam, a renowned Tamil scholar, unveiled the official Instagram handle.
The inaugural function also saw the launch of Janam Tamil TV’s logo and felicitation addresses by chief guests who included: Mr. Vaigaichelvan, former AIADMK minister, Mr. Vellore Ibrahim, National Secretary, BJP Minority Morcha, Mr. Andal P. Chokkalingam, State President, Tamil Nadu Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Mr. R. Nataraj, IPS (Retd.), Mr. Manikandan, pattimandram speaker, Mr. Nandakumar IRS, and Mr. Velmurugan, Tamil playback singer.
Earlier, the event began with the captivating rendition of prayer song and Tamizh Thai Vazhthu by Padma Shri Dr. Sirkazhi G. Sivachidambaram. Mr. Madhu, Managing Director, Janam Tamil TV welcomed the gathering, while Mr. Krishnakumar, Managing Director, Janam Malayalam TV, chronicled the Janam TV’s journey and evolution. Mr Nambi Narayanan gave an introduction about Janam Tamil TV.
About the launch of Janam Tamil TV Digital, Mr. Ramesh Prabha, CEO, Janam Tamil TV, said, “In line with our motto of ‘Desam, Deivam, Tamil’, we are committed to providing impartial and timely coverage of national, religious, and Tamil news. The channel will also report extensively on politics, cinema, spirituality, literature, music, economy, and business.”
He added: “We aspire to revolutionise the presentation of news. We will extend beyond state news to encompass local and global news, but everything will be presented from a national perspective. We will captivate the audience with innovative programmes like political debates, people’s voices, spiritual tours, opinion polls, and Tamil language insights. We will soon launch a Tamil satellite TV channel.”
Former AIADMK Minister Mr. D. Jayakumar, the directors of Marutham Multimedia: Mr. Muthukumar, Mr, Amit Kothari, Ms. Chitra, Dr. Vijay, and Mr. Narendran also participated in the event, which was attended by over 1000 people. Mr. Mahalingam Ponnusamy, editor, Janam Tamil TV proposed a vote of thanks.
