Homemade Ginger Rasam for Comfort and Health
Ginger Rasam
Ginger rasam is a light, spiced South Indian soup where fresh ginger is the main
ingredient. Unlike thick lentil dishes, rasam is thin and watery, perfect to drink on
its own or serve with plain rice. Ginger gives warmth and a sharp taste, while spices
like black pepper, cumin, and curry leaves add flavor and aroma. It’s often enjoyed
when you’re feeling unwell or want a soothing, easy-to-digest meal.
Ingredients:
Fresh ginger, grated or finely chopped

Black peppercorns
Cumin seeds
Curry leaves
Tamarind pulp or juice
