A.P. BJP Faces Uncertainty Over Seat Allocation

Amidst ongoing discussions and deliberations, uncertainty looms large within the Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) BJP regarding the allocation of seats and the finalization of candidates for the upcoming elections. Despite the summoning of BJP State President D. Purandeswari to New Delhi to finalize the matter, progress remains stagnant, leaving party members and leaders in a state of flux.

The central Election Committee (CEC) meeting scheduled for March 22 is expected to bring clarity to the situation, with hopes that the alliance partner, the TDP, will agree to allocate seats where the BJP stands a chance of victory. Dissatisfaction among BJP leaders persists over the seats offered by the TDP, with aspirants expressing discontent and advocating for constituencies where the party holds considerable strength. However, negotiations are ongoing, and a resolution is anticipated before the CEC convenes, ensuring a cohesive strategy moving forward.
