A speeding car killed 9 people at midnight in Ahmedabad

Nine people lost their lives, and more than 15 others sustained injuries when a speeding luxury car crashed into a crowd on the ISKCON bridge in Ahmedabad. The tragic incident occurred at approximately 1 a.m. on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar highway.

The Jaguar, reportedly traveling at over 100 mph, collided with the gathering, which had assembled after a previous accident involving two vehicles. The overspeeding car, en route from Rajpath Club, struck the unsuspecting crowd with such force that several individuals were thrown through the air and landed about 25 to 30 feet away.

Rescue teams and local police rushed to the scene, causing chaos on the bridge. The injured victims were promptly taken to the Civil Hospital for medical assistance. A Home Guard personnel and a police constable were both on duty at the time of the accident.
