Actor Vijay Launches Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam, Confirms Political Entry

Tamil actor Vijay has officially entered politics by launching his political party named “Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam.” Putting an end to ongoing speculations, Vijay announced that his party would participate in the 2026 State Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. He emphasized that the party would not contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections or form alliances.

Vijay expressed his commitment to politics once he completes his existing film commitments. In his statement, he highlighted the need for a political culture free from corruption, bias, and divisiveness, aligning with the Tamil culture of equality and the state’s political traditions. The party will introduce its ideology and policies to the public after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
