Anna Nagar Residents Demand Action on Flood Prevention

Residents of Anna Nagar, Chennai, are taking proactive steps ahead of the Lok Sabha election by submitting a charter of demands to candidates. The Federation of Anna Nagar Residents’ Associations (FOARA) is particularly focused on restoring Otteri Nullah to mitigate recurring inundation issues. They seek the removal of encroachments and restoration of channels to alleviate flooding, emphasizing the impact of polluted waterways on their community.

Additionally, FOARA calls for the construction of stormwater drains to address drainage deficiencies in the area.
