Arrangements in Full Swing for Bhavani Deeksha Viramana at Kanaka Durga Temple

Authorities at the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam are actively preparing for the Bhavani Deeksha Viramana scheduled from January 3 to 7. Works worth ₹2.63 crore are underway, focusing on erecting queue lines, setting up showers, and enhancing the bathing ghats for devotees’ convenience. The event will witness the opening of three ‘homa gundams’ for the offerings, with 800 showers operational at various ghats.

The ‘Kalasa Jyothi’ procession on December 26 and the trial run of the ‘deeksha viramana’ on January 2 are part of the preparations. Temple authorities are anticipating a significant turnout, with an estimated five lakh devotees expected during the event, requiring around two lakh laddus to meet demand.
