Arrested Minister V. Senthilbalaji Files Bail Petition Amid Health Concerns
Minister V. Senthilbalaji, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and subsequently remanded to judicial custody on June 14, has filed a bail petition in the Principal Sessions Court. Senthilbalaji, who underwent bypass surgery during his remand period and was later transferred to the Puzhal Central Prison, seeks urgent consideration of his bail plea due to health reasons.
Senior counsel N.R. Elango, representing Senthilbalaji, presented the bail petition to Principal Sessions Judge S. Alli, who is currently assessing the court’s jurisdiction to address the matter. The hearing for the bail petition will proceed once the case is officially listed.
