Darwin [Australia], August 17 (ANI): Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz is confident about securing a series win after their historic nine-wicket victory over Australia in Darwin. The team’s strong performance, led by Hasan Mahmud’s six wickets and Miraz’s century, has boosted their confidence ahead of the second Test.

Miraz was outstanding, scoring 65 runs in 154 balls to give Bangladesh a strong lead of 228 runs. He also took five wickets, setting a target of just 57 for Australia, which Bangladesh comfortably achieved with nine wickets remaining. This victory sets them up well to win the series 2-0 when they move to Mackay for the final Test.

Miraz emphasized the team’s focus on building momentum and preparing for the next challenge. Despite recent setbacks, including a heavy defeat against Cricket Australia XI, the players remained confident in their abilities, supported by encouraging words from their management team.
