Bengaluru Blast Investigation: Siddaramaiah Contemplates NIA Probe

Despite intensive efforts by multiple investigative teams, the Bengaluru police have yet to achieve a breakthrough in the Rameshwaram Cafe IED blast case. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Sunday the government’s willingness to consider involving the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the probe. However, Siddaramaiah criticized the BJP for politicizing the incident, questioning the efficacy of Central agencies like the NIA, IB, and RAW.

The blast has ignited a political showdown between the Congress and the BJP, with the latter accusing the state government of being soft on anti-social elements and terrorists. In response, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar rebuffed these claims, asserting that the BJP’s politicization of the blast was tarnishing Karnataka and Bengaluru’s image.
