Chennai Corporation Introduces Road Design to Enhance Greenery and Aesthetics

The Greater Chennai Corporation has unveiled a new road design aimed at improving greenery and aesthetics across the city. As part of the beautification drive ahead of the Asian Championship Trophy, iron, and steel arches have been installed for flowering plants along road medians on Egmore High Road. Officials assured that these arches are designed to withstand storms and adverse weather conditions.

The initiative, which includes vibrant flowers, greenery, and street furniture, is set to debut in areas around the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium, such as Egmore High Road, Pantheon Road, Montieth Road, and Ethiraj Salai. Feedback from residents will guide the expansion of this design to other zones, according to Corporation officials.
