Chennai Cyber Crime Wing arrested two Nigerian nationals in Haryana

The Cyber Crime wing of the Greater Chennai Police has apprehended three individuals, including two Nigerian nationals, for engaging in a gift scam on social media platforms. The East Zone Cyber Crime Police Station received a complaint in May regarding fraudulent activities on social media. The victim, contacted through Facebook by a woman claiming to be in London, was asked for assistance and promised a visit to India.

The police investigation led to the arrest of the suspects involved in the scam. The arrested individuals will face charges related to cheating and fraudulent activities on social media. The Greater Chennai Police’s Cyber Crime wing is actively working to curb such online scams and protect the public from financial fraud.
