Chennai MRTS Commuters Seek Increased Bus Services from Chintadripet Station

Frequent commuters of the Chennai Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) are urging the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) to enhance bus services from Chintadripet railway station, especially as the Southern Railway has temporarily halted MRTS operations between Beach and Chintadripet due to ongoing fourth line construction.

Commuters, including office-goers heading to Broadway, are particularly affected and are requesting more shuttle bus options from Chintadripet. Regular passengers also suggest increasing buses during peak hours from Mylapore, a key multimodal hub, and boosting services to Egmore station on routes 28B (Ennore to Egmore) and 27B (Anna Square to Koyambedu).

The need for convenient transportation options is particularly significant due to overcrowded buses during rush hours and difficulties in alighting at Chintadripet.
