Close Call for Man as Dangling Cable Wires Drag His Bike

A 32-year-old man narrowly escaped a serious accident when his two-wheeler got entangled in a dangling cable wire and was dragged along by a Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus in Royapuram. The incident occurred when the bus, route number 56-C, was moving along the MS Koil street junction in Kalmandapam.

The cable wire, belonging to an internet service provider, snapped and got caught under the bus’s wheels, entangling with the man’s bike and dragging him along. Fortunately, the man, identified as Ashok Kumar, managed to jump off the bike before it collided with a stationary bus, sustaining only minor bruises. Traffic police are investigating the incident, and the Corporation is taking steps to identify and penalize the responsible parties.
