Concerns Rise as Indian Student Goes Missing in Chicago

The Consulate General of India in Chicago has expressed deep concern over the disappearance of Indian student Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi since May 2. They are coordinating with local authorities and the Indian diaspora to locate him. The Chicago police have urged anyone with information about Mr. Chintakindi’s whereabouts to come forward.

This follows the recent tragic death of another Indian student, Mohammed Abdul Arfath, who had been missing since March. The Consulate General of India in New York expressed condolences to Mr. Arfath’s family and assured a thorough investigation into his death. These incidents have raised concerns within the Indian community in the U.S., especially considering the recent death of Uma Satya Sai Gadde in Cleveland, Ohio, and the brutal attack on Syed Mazahir Ali in Chicago earlier this year.
