Congress Announces Full-scale Participation in Andhra Pradesh Elections

Y.S. Sharmila, the president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), declared that the party will field candidates in all 175 Assembly constituencies in the upcoming elections. Sharmila, who addressed a press conference at Andhra Ratna Bhavan, disclosed that Manickam Tagore, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge for Andhra Pradesh, will start accepting applications from ticket aspirants starting January 24.

To boost poll readiness, Sharmila plans to conduct meetings with party leaders and cadres in all districts from January 23 to January 31. Additionally, she emphasized her commitment to the Congress party, citing her father, the late YSR’s, staunch support for the party and its secular principles.
