Congress Lambasts Telangana CM Over Remarks Against Indira Gandhi
The Congress has launched a scathing counterattack against Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) over his comments disparaging former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge accused KCR of being “arrogant and drunk with power” and asserted that the people of Telangana would not forgive him for insulting the revered leader.
Kharge emphasized that “Indiramma Rajyam” symbolizes justice, welfare, and development, and the Congress is firmly committed to those principles. K.C. Venugopal, Congress General Secretary (Organisation), condemned KCR’s desperation and personal attacks, stating that the Chief Minister’s days are numbered.
The Congress is aggressively campaigning in Telangana, seeking to dislodge the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the upcoming polls on November 30. The party has positioned itself against KCR’s regime, and the electoral outcome is eagerly awaited.
