CWI Mourns Passing of Grenada Cricket Leader Norman Gilbert
Cricket West Indies has expressed deep sadness over the sudden passing of Norman Gilbert, President of the Grenada Cricket Association and a member of the Windward Islands Cricket Board. In an official statement, CWI offered condolences to Gilbert’s family, friends, and the cricket community in Grenada and across the Caribbean.
Gilbert was remembered as a dedicated and forward-thinking administrator who made significant contributions to growing cricket in Grenada. His long-time efforts to develop the sport at all levels left a lasting impact on the region’s cricketing structure. He was widely respected for his integrity, humility, and leadership, inspiring many during his career.
Beyond his administrative work, Gilbert was seen as a passionate advocate for using cricket to unite communities.
