Dalit Mason Assaulted Over Unpaid Wages in Karnataka Village

In a disturbing incident, a Dalit mason named Amaresh was assaulted in a village near Bangarapet town in Karnataka when he sought remuneration for his work. The victim was working on a house construction project when he asked for his wages, prompting the homeowner, Jagadish Singh, to assault him and use casteist slurs.

Subsequently, Singh, along with two others, dragged Amaresh to a house, tied him up, and physically abused him. The victim was later hospitalized, and the police arrested Jagadish Singh and another individual named Ravindra Singh, while a man named Satish Singh remains at large.
