“Dhinakaran Rules Out AIADMK Takeover, Eyes Amma’s Ideals”
A day after announcing an election alliance with the AIADMK-led NDA for the upcoming Assembly polls, AMMK chief TTV Dhinakaran said on Thursday that he has no plans to take control of the AIADMK. He also said he has forgotten the “injustices” he faced earlier.
Dhinakaran said he started his own party in the name of Amma, former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, and uses her name and flag with pride. He said he is happy to see his party growing across Tamil Nadu. “My only aim is to bring back Amma’s rule,” he told TOI.
He explained that his goal is to spread Jayalalithaa’s ideas and principles among the people. “Yes, I once said I would reclaim what I lost due to betrayal. But I will never try to capture AIADMK.
Dhinakaran compared the issues between AIADMK and the breakaway groups to a family dispute, calling it a “pangali sandai,” or an internal family fight. He also shared a message from the Thirukkural, saying the best way to respond to harm is by doing good in return, showing that he believes in peace and forgiveness rather than anger.
