Double Murder Unsettles Chennai: Investigations Underway

Chennai police have launched investigations into two murders reported in the city on the night of Sunday, September 10, 2023. One of the murders occurred in Egmore, where a 22-year-old man with a criminal history was hacked to death by a gang of five unidentified men. The victim, V. Sathya, had recently been released on bail and was attacked while waiting with his motorcycle.

The police have initiated a manhunt to locate the suspects. In the second case, a 32-year-old man, S. Dinesh, was allegedly murdered by a suspect named Parthiban in Mandaveli. The two were reportedly drinking when they quarreled, resulting in Dinesh’s death. Parthiban has been arrested in connection with this case. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the motives and circumstances surrounding both murders.
