ED Team Attacked During Raids at TMC Leader’s Residence in West Bengal

In a dramatic turn of events, an Enforcement Directorate (ED) team faced an attack during raid and search operations at the residence of Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Sheikh Sajahan in Sandeshkhali, North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal. The ED personnel and Central Armed Police Forces attempting to enter Sajahan’s premises were met with resistance from a large crowd protesting the operation.

Despite the attempt to break open the locked entrance door, protesters intensified their resistance, outnumbering the central agency and forces. The situation led to an abrupt withdrawal of the ED team, with protesters chasing them and causing damage to the agency’s vehicles. Another ED team simultaneously raided the in-laws’ residence of former Bangaon Municipality chairman Shankar Adhya, both known associates of arrested ex-minister Jyotipriya Mallick.
