Elon Musk Deems India’s Absence from UNSC Permanent Seat ‘Absurd’

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has expressed his opinion on India’s absence from a permanent seat on the UN Security Council, calling it “absurd.” Musk joined the conversation initiated by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who voiced concerns about the lack of any African nation holding a permanent UNSC seat.

Responding to Guterres, Musk emphasized the need for a revision of UN bodies, stating that India, as the most populous country, deserves a permanent seat. India has long advocated for UNSC reforms to better reflect the contemporary global landscape, challenging the existing structure dominated by five permanent members.
