Escalating Conflict in Gaza

The Palestinian Interior Ministry has reported a tragic toll of at least 49 people killed in Israeli airstrikes in south Gaza. The casualties include 21 individuals in an airstrike in Khan Younis on Monday night and 28 more in a house struck in the Rafah area near the Egyptian border, with women and children among those killed.

Israel Defense Forces spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus stated that he was not aware of specific strikes in those areas but acknowledged the ongoing combat operations against Hamas operatives. The death toll in Gaza since the conflict began on October 7 has reached 2,778, with 9,938 injured. Shockingly, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has reported that 47 entire families, totaling around 500 people, have been killed.

Official Israeli sources have confirmed at least 1,300 Israeli and foreign national casualties, with 4,121 injured. The situation remains highly volatile, with both sides continuing military operations while aiming to minimize civilian casualties.
