ETPL 2026: Schedule, Venues, and Full Squads in India
The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) will begin on August 26, 2026, featuring six teams from the Netherlands, Scotland, and Ireland. This tournament, approved by the ICC, aims to boost Europe’s role in cricket and provide opportunities for lesser-known players to shine alongside global stars.
The ETPL schedule runs from August 26 to September 20. Matches will be held at two key venues: Voorburg Cricket Club in the Netherlands and Malahide Cricket Club in Ireland. The opening matches will take place in Voorburg, while the rest of the league and finals will be in Dublin.
Dublin will host the Qualifier and the inaugural final, where the first ETPL champion will be crowned. Over 32 matches across 26 days, six teams will compete for the title. The tournament includes big names like Tim David, Steve Smith, Ravichandran Ashwin, and more, along with rising European stars.
The ETPL format is a double round-robin, where each team plays every other team twice. The top two teams advance directly to the final, while third place faces the runner-up of the qualifier in a deciding match. If a game ends in a tie, a Super Over will decide the winner.
Global cricket legends like Rahul Dravid and Steve Waugh are involved as franchise owners or mentors, offering guidance to players. Matches will be held in double headers, with afternoon games starting at 3 PM IST and evening matches at 6:45 PM IST.
