Fatal Road Accident on GST Road in Chennai Claims Two Lives

In a tragic road accident on GST Road in Chennai, two individuals lost their lives. The incident occurred when the rider of a two-wheeler lost control and collided with a stationary lorry, resulting in the unfortunate demise of both the rider and the pillion passenger.

The Guduvanchery police have initiated a case and are currently conducting investigations into the matter. The accident involved N. Vignesh, a resident of Thoraipakkam, and his friend M. Rajkumar from Bodinayakanur. The duo had been on a trip to Udhagamandalam on a two-wheeler, and while returning on the morning of August 16, 2023, tragedy struck.

As they were on GST Road near Urappakkam, the rider lost control and collided with a lorry parked near a tea shop on the roadside. Sadly, Vignesh succumbed to head injuries at the scene, while Rajkumar was rushed to a private hospital but eventually passed away despite medical efforts. The bodies of the victims were sent to the Government Chromepet Hospital for post-mortem examinations by the Guduvanchery police.
