Food Corporation of India reduced wheat and rice price in the domestic open market scheme

The Food Corporation of India (FCI) has announced a reduction in the prices of rice and wheat being offered under the open market sale scheme for registered bulk buyers. Fortified rice, previously priced at ₹34/kg, will now be available at ₹31/kg, while wheat will be sold at ₹21.50/kg instead of ₹22.50/kg.

The decision was confirmed by Manjeev Kumar Goyal, Deputy General Manager of FCI in Chennai. This move aims to make essential food grains more affordable and accessible to consumers.
