Four Arrested for Hacking 22-Year-Old Man to Death in Chennai

Four individuals have been arrested by the Egmore police in Chennai for their alleged involvement in the murder of a 22-year-old man. The victim, V. Sathya, had a criminal record and was recently released on bail. He was waiting on his high-end motorcycle on Monteith Road when a gang of five men surrounded him and attacked him with knives, resulting in his death.

The police suspect that Sathya had previously attacked some individuals while under the influence of alcohol during a local festival, which may have led to enmity. In a separate incident, a man identified as S. Dinesh died following a quarrel with Parthiban near Mandaveli railway station during a Thulukanathaman deity procession. Parthiban, who was estranged from his wife, slapped and beat Dinesh, who subsequently collapsed and died while being taken to the hospital.
