Four Arrested in Hyderabad for CM Relief Fund Cheque Fraud
In Hyderabad, four individuals, including an employee from former health minister T. Harish Rao’s office, have been arrested by the Jubilee Hills police for their involvement in a Chief Minister Relief Fund cheque fraud. The suspects, identified as Jogula Naresh Kumar, Korlapati Vamshi, Balagoni Venkatesh Goud, and Omkar, were apprehended following a complaint filed by a farmer, Patloth Ravi Nayak, who had applied for relief after his wife’s demise. According to reports, Naresh Kumar facilitated the fraudulent encashment of cheques meant for Mr. Nayak by passing them on to his associates in exchange for a commission. The police have filed charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act against the accused.
