Future of Indian Bowling is Secure with Rising Stars
New Delhi, India – April 14 (ANI): Sunrisers Hyderabad ended Rajasthan Royals’ four-match winning streak in IPL 2026 by defeating them by 57 runs in a match played in Hyderabad on Monday. Two young Indian debutants were the stars of the show for SRH, helping their team secure the win.
Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain combined to take eight wickets between them, completely dismantling Rajasthan’s batting line-up during their chase of 217 runs. Speaking on Star Sports’ ‘Amul Cricket Live,’ former New Zealand cricketer Mitchell McClenaghan praised the pair, stating that their performance shows the future of Indian bowling is in good hands.
Sakib Hussain, just 21 years old, made a strong debut. He took four wickets, including key dismissals of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Donovan Ferreira, Jofra Archer, and Ravi Bishnoi. His slower deliveries were particularly impressive, drawing comparisons to Mustafizur Rahman.
Praful Hinge, 24, was equally remarkable in his first IPL game. He took four wickets and was named Player of the Match. His sharp bowling, including a stellar first over that saw him dismiss Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, and RR skipper Riyan Parag, showcased his talent early on.
McClenaghan highlighted Hinge’s ability to adapt his line and length effectively, calling his performance a masterclass for a debutant.
With this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad moved up to fourth place in the IPL points table with two wins from five matches. They will next face Chennai Super Kings at their home ground on Saturday. (ANI)
