Goa Man Arrested for Allegedly Killing Girlfriend After Breakup

Goa Police have apprehended a 22-year-old man, identified as Fakir aka Prakash Chunchwad, for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Kamakshi Shankar Uddapnov (30). The incident occurred in Porvorim, North Goa, on August 29, after the victim had broken up with the accused. Chunchwad reportedly stabbed Uddapnov to death at her flat.

Following the murder, he and a friend, Nirupadi Shraranappa Kadakal (21), allegedly dumped the victim’s body at Amboli Ghat in neighboring Maharashtra. The police later recovered the body based on the accused’s confession. The motive behind the crime is believed to be the breakup of the relationship between the accused and the victim.
