Hawkers Left Disappointed Amid Narendra Modi’s Roadshow in T. Nagar

While T. Nagar was abuzz with excitement during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow, hawkers hoping to capitalize on the event found themselves sorely disappointed. Despite investing in merchandise and snacks worth thousands of rupees, hawkers like A. Selvam were unable to make significant sales due to police intervention.

Selvam lamented the loss, expressing frustration at being forced away despite the potential for sales. Similarly, R. Sumithra and V. Chitra, who brought sundal and mixture, faced a similar fate, with their goods going to waste as the crowd failed to engage with their offerings. The hawkers, left with unsold items, contemplated seeking opportunities elsewhere, highlighting the challenges faced by small-scale vendors during such events.
