High Court Denies Temporary Protection to Bandi Bageerath in Sexual Assault Case
The Telangana High Court’s vacation bench has refused to give interim protection from arrest to Bandi Sai Bageerath, who has been accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl.
The hearing took place on Friday, May 15, and continued late into the night, ending around midnight. During the hearing, Justice T. Madhavi Devi said that she had carefully reviewed the statement given by the victim in the case.
After examining the details, the court decided not to grant any temporary relief or protection from arrest at this stage. This means the accused does not currently have legal protection from being taken into custody while the investigation continues.
The case has attracted serious attention due to the nature of the allegations involving a minor. The court observed that it was not appropriate to issue interim orders without further examination of the facts and evidence.
Further hearings are expected in the next court session, where more arguments and details may be presented by both sides. The investigation is also expected to continue alongside the court proceedings.
Authorities will now proceed according to legal procedures, and the next steps in the case will depend on further judicial review
