Hyderabad Police Book Former Aide of Late Andhra Pradesh CM and Three Police Officials for False Case

Hyderabad Police have filed an FIR against Erram Reddy Surya Narayana Reddy, a former aide of late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and three police officials on charges of registering a false case and harassing his son-in-law. The court directed the Banjara Hills police to register the case.

Alongside Surya Narayana Reddy, Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajasekhar Reddy, Sub-Inspector of Police Naresh, and Inspector General of Police G. Pala Raju are named in the FIR. The complainant, Surendarnath Reddy, alleged that his father-in-law conspired with the police officials to file false cases against him due to personal differences.

Surendarnath Reddy also claimed that he was beaten in police custody and subjected to harassment, with CCTV footage allegedly manipulated. The case has brought attention to the abuse of power and misuse of influence.
