Immediate Road Relaying After Developmental Projects, Emphasizes Minister K.N. Nehru

Minister for Municipal Administration K.N. Nehru stressed the importance of promptly relaying roads after the completion of developmental projects such as stormwater drains and underground drainage networks. During a review meeting of various infrastructure projects executed by Chennai Metrowater and Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), the minister urged coordination with other relevant agencies for swift project completion.

He directed officials to finalize stormwater drain construction and desilting works before the onset of the Northeast monsoon and ensure security at the work sites. Additionally, he emphasized the immediate resurfacing of roads that had been excavated for various development initiatives.

Minister Nehru, along with Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises T.M. Anbarasan, inaugurated the replacement of concrete sewer pipelines with cast iron pipelines at Erikarai Salai, Alandur zone, at a cost of ₹70.72 crore.
