‘India-Jamaica story written in runs’: External Affairs Minister Jaishankar
India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spoke about the strong and long-standing relationship between India and Jamaica during his visit to Kingston on May 4.
Jaishankar said that the bond between the two countries is based on shared history, mutual respect, and strong friendship. In a post shared on X, he described the India-Jamaica connection in a unique way, saying, “The India-Jamaica story is written in runs, written in respect, written in friendship.”
His statement highlighted the deep cultural and sporting connections between the two nations, especially through cricket, which is loved by people in both countries.
Jaishankar made these remarks while attending an event at Sabina Park, one of Jamaica’s most famous cricket stadiums. His visit reflected the importance of diplomatic relations between India and Jamaica and celebrated the friendship that has grown stronger over the years.
