India Watches US Tariff Threat Over Russian Oil

India’s Ministry of External Affairs said it has discussed the issue with U.S. officials. New Delhi has also explained its concerns about the possible impact on India-U.S. relations and international energy markets.

The Indian government has repeatedly said that its energy policy focuses on maintaining a reliable supply of fuel through diversified sources. India has also emphasized that energy decisions are linked to the needs of its large population and its economic requirements.
