Indian Army Colonel Assaulted and Robbed in South Delhi

A 48-year-old Indian Army Colonel, identified as Vinit Mahto, was reportedly assaulted and robbed by three men in South Delhi. The incident took place in Triveni Complex, Malviya Nagar when Mahto and a friend stopped there after attending a seminar.

Mahto asked a person for a lighter, which led to an altercation. The situation escalated as two more individuals joined in, brutally assaulting Mahto and stealing his belongings, including mobile phones, a credit card, a Voter ID card, and cash.

He reported the incident to the Malviya Nagar police and received medical treatment at the Army Base Hospital. Two suspects have been arrested, while a manhunt is underway for the third.
