Indian Students in Kyrgyzstan Urged to Remain Indoors Amidst Mob Attacks

Following reports of mob attacks against students from Pakistan, the Indian embassy in Kyrgyz Republic has advised Indian students to stay indoors. The embassy shared a helpline contact number for students to reach out in case of any issues.

The situation is currently calm, but students are urged to exercise caution. The attacks seem to be fueled by social media rumors after a skirmish between local Kyrgyz residents and foreign students.
