Innovative Clothing for Persons with Disabilities Unveiled on Women’s Day

As part of Project Design Ability by SciArtsRUs, a range of accessible and adaptive clothing was showcased at an event held at Vidya Sagar on Women’s Day. These innovative garments include trousers, saris, skirts, dresses, salwars, and undergarments designed for ease of wear by persons with disabilities.

Appreciating the initiative, prominent figures such as Padma Venkatraman and Poonam Natarajan lauded the efforts of SciArtsRUs in addressing the clothing needs of individuals with disabilities. Ranjini Kaushik, the founder, highlighted the collaboration with Vidhya’s Comfort Designs in Besant Nagar for designing these garments, emphasizing the aim to expand accessibility to a wider audience, with plans to extend the range to men’s clothing in the future.
