Inquiry Ordered After Newborns Die in Cold Room at UP Clinic

An inquiry has been initiated into a private clinic in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli following the deaths of two newborns who were allegedly kept in a room that was too cold. The families of the infants claimed that the clinic owner, Dr. Neetu, had left the air conditioner on overnight for his own comfort, resulting in the tragic deaths of the babies.

Dr. Neetu has been arrested, and a case under section 304 of the IPC (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) has been registered. The health department has also launched an investigation into the incident and vowed to take strict action against those found responsible. The infants had been born at a government primary health center and were later transferred to the private clinic, where they tragically lost their lives.
