Karnataka Plans 190-Kilometer Tunnel Road in Bengaluru

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has announced plans for a 190-kilometer-long tunnel road in Bengaluru. Eight companies have been deemed eligible for the project, and they are currently submitting feasibility reports. A public tender is expected to be called in the next 45 days.

The tunnel road project aims to address the traffic issues in the city, and the companies will study various aspects, including the number of lanes, entry and exit points, and expansion across Bengaluru. The state government plans to seek funds from the central government for the project. This announcement comes in response to the city’s growing traffic challenges.
