Key Indian Players Missing from West Indies Series
India’s upcoming white-ball series against the West Indies will feature several notable absences. While Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are back in the ODI squad, other key players are missing due to various reasons.
Hardik Pandya is not part of either squad for the series. He has been selected for India A’s one-day series against Australia A instead. Rishabh Pant is also absent, as he will lead the Rest of India team in the Irani Cup.
Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel are missing from the ODI squad due to India’s Asian Games commitments but will play in the T20I series. Jasprit Bumrah is absent from both squads as he focuses on the Asian Games. Ishan Kishan will miss the ODIs but is included in the T20I side.
The Indian selectors have called up new players like Naman Dhir and Auqib Nabi for the ODI squad. The T20I team includes regulars like Shreyas Iyer, Abhishek Sharma, and Arshdeep Singh.
