Kremlin Dismisses Navalny Widow’s Accusations as “Unfounded”

The Kremlin responded to accusations from Alexei Navalny’s widow, Yulia Navalnaya, stating that President Vladimir Putin did not view the video where she vowed to continue her husband’s fight against the Russian government. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov labeled her allegations that Putin was involved in Navalny’s death as “unfounded” and “insolent.”

Navalnaya accused Putin of orchestrating her husband’s death in a remote Arctic prison and criticized officials for withholding his body. She also suggested Navalny might have been poisoned with a Novichok-style nerve agent. Russian authorities maintain that the cause of Navalny’s death remains unknown, and they anticipate skepticism regarding any investigation findings from abroad.
