Kumbakonam Brothers Accused of Cheating Gold Showroom

In a case that has caught attention, two brothers from Kumbakonam are accused of cheating a gold jewellery showroom in Chennai. The complaint alleges that they purchased 38.6 kilograms of gold coins over a span of three years but only paid for 9.5 kilograms.

Despite numerous reminders, the outstanding amount remained unpaid, prompting the showroom manager to file a complaint with the Central Crime Branch. The brothers, known locally as the ‘Helicopter’ brothers, now face charges under sections of the Indian Penal Code for breach of trust and cheating.
